How MSpace Works

This guide explains the actual marketplace journey for clients, artisans, and service businesses: discovery, profiles, chat, booking, payment where available, job completion, reviews, and disputes.

Quick answer

MSpace helps a client find a suitable provider, agree on the work, create a booking, track progress, and review the experience. Artisans use it to receive requests, manage work, and build trust over time.

For clients

  1. Search for a category such as plumber, electrician, carpenter, painter, mechanic, cleaner, tailor, barber, hair stylist, welder, tiler, roofer, AC repair, or phone repair.
  2. Open profiles and compare category fit, distance, description, ratings, reviews, photos, and profile completeness.
  3. Message the provider before booking to confirm the exact issue, address area, time, budget, materials, and who is responsible for buying parts.
  4. Create or confirm the booking so both sides have a record of the service type and agreed amount.
  5. If the booking requires payment, use the secure checkout opened by the app. The app includes payment statuses such as pending, processing, held in escrow, release pending, paid, released, and refunded.
  6. After the job, mark completion only when the work is actually done. Leave a review to help future clients compare providers.

For artisans

  1. Create an account as an artisan or business and complete your profile with trade, service categories, skills, bio, and location information.
  2. Respond clearly when clients ask about availability, scope, price, and materials.
  3. Accept bookings you can realistically handle and reject jobs outside your skill or schedule.
  4. Wait for payment to be secured when the job flow requires it before starting work.
  5. Update the booking as work progresses and keep important decisions inside the app.
  6. After completion, request a fair review and keep improving your profile based on client questions.

Payments and release

MSpace includes Paystack-backed checkout for booking payments where the payment feature is used. The app code supports escrow-style status handling: work should not start until payment is secured for jobs that require it, and release can happen after completion confirmation. This page does not promise that every booking must use online payment; users should follow the payment option shown for their booking.

Reviews, reports, and disputes

Completed bookings can lead to reviews. If something goes wrong, eligible bookings can open a dispute, and users can report misleading or unsafe content. These tools work best when the booking details, chat, agreed price, and evidence are kept clear.

Before you book

Good marketplace outcomes usually start before payment. Take photos of the problem, explain the location and urgency, ask whether inspection fees apply, confirm whether parts are included, and avoid moving large conversations outside the app before trust is established.
